Rosamund Pike is set to play Amy Dunne in David Finchers upcoming adaptation of Gillian Flynns bestselling novel Gone Girl.
Oscar winning director and actor Ben Affleck will star opposite the British actress as Amys husband Nick Dunne. Nick becomes the number one suspect in a police enquiry when his wife goes missing on their fifth wedding anniversary.
Gillian Flynn has written the screenplay and Reese Witherspoon is also part of the star-studded team involved in the film - she bought the film rights after reading the book and will co-produce.
We will have to measure our excitement about the films upcoming release through - its scheduled for 2015 and filming hasnt even started.
In the meantime, if you havent read the suspense-filled thriller about a relationship gone, very, very wrong, do so, immediately. If you have, read it again. Jackie Collins, Sarah Jessica Parker, Emily Blunt, Jennifer Aniston and the whole of ELLE HQ are already fans.
