If the rumours about the royal due date are to be believed, arriving in a timely fashion isn’t something that the new heir to the British throne holds in particularly high regard.

But not so his or her daddy.

Prince William took time out on Sunday to fulfill his duty of playing in a charity polo match at Cirencester Park Polo Club with his brother Harry, putting 100-miles between him and his nine-months pregnant wife, Kate. Her reported due date of 13 July fell this weekend – the hottest of the year.

Wills, whose team lost the match, was reportedly ‘looking at ease’ and ‘happily posed for pictures’ with attendees.

It’s the clearest indication yet that the Duchess’ due date is later than has been reported – a theory that’s backed up by the fact that grandparents-to-be the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall are headed to Cornwall this week, with no choppers for emergency hospital dashes on standby, and great-grandmother-to-be the Queen is going ahead with a visit to Cumbria today.
