Taylor Swift emerged this weekend at a Hamptons birthday party, where she looked very 1989 Swift with her red lip, crop top, and skirt. But there was one very OG Swift throwback detail: her curly hair.
She wore it the next day, too:
The last time she wore her ringlets like that was 2011.
This spring and summer, Swift has been experimenting with her signature look quite a bit. Back in April, she bleached her hair and went for more of a rocker vibe (some even called it goth).
Then she returned to the preppy ways of her Red era right around the time she started dating Tom Hiddleston. She actually wore the same clothes at two points.
Where this all ends, time will tell…or perhaps her next public performance, October 22 at the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
As Swift herself once said of the current crop top era, 'It's hard to say when I decided they're what I want to wear all the time, but I'll make up my mind, and that's all you'll see me wear for two years. You might recall from 2012 to 2014, you didn't see me in any outfit that didn't look like I was straight out of the '50s. Who knows what it'll be next.'
