Superhero films not your bag? They will be once youve seen Man Of Steel.
It is, simply put, a game-changer.
Flawlessly cast, with Henry Cavill (who is so now on our list) in the role of Superman and ELLE cover star Amy Adams his ballsy Lois Lane, its everything you ever thought Superman should be and more.
For starters, its big. Like, really big. From Cavills CGI-ed pecs (thank you, 3D), to the scale of the destruction wreaked on New York by its enemies (led by a menacing Michael Shannon as Krypton insurgent General Zod), everything about the film is, well, super-sized.
Its also a lot darker than you might expect, and its focus on Clark Kent as an outsider literally, an alien struggling to find his place as an outsider in the only world hes ever known, beautifully realised.
