Despite four Oscar nominations and a role in what's set to be the biggest blockbuster of the summer, ELLE cover star Amy Adams was typically down to earth at the London premiere of Man Of Steel last night – telling us her real life Superman was ‘my guy, Darren’.

That's her fellow actor fiancé Darren Le Gallo, with whom she has a two-year-old daughter, Aviana, to you and I.

The new Lois Lane didn’t let a little rain – well, OK, a lot – stop her from meeting fans at the film’s European premiere.

Dressed in a black and nude Valentino prom dress with a chic up-do, she admitted the role was different to anything else she’d done, and that it was ‘daunting joining the history of it, knowing that there are so many people who love the characters’.

Also on the blue carpet was the man of steel himself, Henry Cavill. He’s the first British Superman, so no wonder he didn’t let the weather stop him from greeting seemingly every fan who’d turned out for the premiere of his first blockbuster role.

Looking dapper in a Tom Ford suit – accessorised with those chiselled cheekbones – Henry spent almost three hours signing autographs and posing for photos with screaming fans.

And we mean really screaming.

In fact, the Man of Steel displayed absolutely no diva-like behaviour at all, telling us that playing Superman was an ‘honour’.

‘I think pretty much every kid is a fan of Superman at one stage or another – and I was no different,’ he said.

No matter how high their characters fly, it seems like the stars of Man Of Steel have their feet firmly on the ground.
