Kanye West is the gift that keeps on giving. Hes an incredible rapper, hardcore fashion fan,sometime fashion designer, opinionated Twitter ranter and soon-to-be baby daddy of Kim Kardashian. And today is his 36th birthday.
To mark the momentous occasion, here are the top five reasons why ELLE loves Kanye:
He loves Phoebe Philo as much as we do. He name checked her in a track, Dark Fantasy, presented her with her 2011 CFDA award, and he even wore pieces from her much-coveted .
Hes not afraid to take a fashion risk. Weve seen him wear a leather kilt and cheetah print bomber jacket, brightly coloured bow ties and those insane shutter glasses. How many men do you know that could make them look cool?
He says what he thinks. Whether its the ill-judged stage invasion during Taylor Swifts award acceptance speech or his Twitter diatribes, always with the caps lock on (example: PLEASE I BEG YOU, GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LET ME BE GREAT!!!), hes a brilliantly no-filter, act-first sort of guy.
He wants to call his baby North. Or maybe South. This is probably not true but is one of the best baby naming rumours weve heard. Ever.
He's humble. OK, we made that one up. He has named his upcoming album Yeezus. (No, really.)
