Our Man of the Week, Jared Leto and his band 30 Seconds To Mars performed a surprise show last night in London's Soho Square and sent the crowd, including one member of team ELLE, utterly wild.
Learning of the impromptu gig on Twitter, we promptly scuttled off to get a spot at the front, armed only with a camera phone and a childlike giddiness. Could we be about to see the real-life Jordan Catalano?
Screaming fans packed the square as the drizzle gently fell on Jareds flowing locks, but surely no ELLE employee would get so carried away in the commotion. Or would they?
Maybe it was a kind of mob mentality but before we knew it we were waving our arms in the air and singing along like a bonefide EMO.
We may even have found ourselves shouting something along the lines of Jared we love you into the crowd but it was all such a daze that we cant be sure. We did, however, manage to refrain from climbing on top of one sturdy fans shoulders to get a better view (we have some standards).
The band performed three songs at the 'flash mob' show and in-between Jared told the crowd he loved me (I mean us) and that we were beautiful (swoon).
And then it was all over. As quickly as it had begun the band were gone; whisked back to their blacked-out SUV and the spell was broken. In fact, were due back at the office.
30 Seconds to Mars new album, Love, Lust Faith + Dreams is out now.
