Another year, another Superman. But Man Of Steel - produced by Batman director Christopher Nolan – takes a different angle on the Superman story, starting with Clark Kent’s origins.

Released in June, it’s guaranteed to be the big-budget blockbuster of the summer – boasting an all-star cast including Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, and Brit newcomer Henry Cavill as Superman.

Eagle-eyed ELLE readers might have spotted Henry in the raucous, racy historical drama The Tudors, alongside bad boy Henry VIII played by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, but Man Of Steel marks his first major film role to date.

This might just be the one comic book adaptation you and your boyfriend can agree on.
