Sienna Miller knows a thing or two when it comes to Wimbledon style - and this year was no exception.

It's a tricky sartorial scenario to master. What the occasion calls for is a crisper take on the clothes you'd usually wear to a well-heeled garden party - floral tea dresses, jumpsuits, kitten heels and oversized tailoring preferably in shades of either white or coral.

There's a temptation to go either too literal (ie with tennis dresses and cricket jumpers) or too saccharine by overdosing on broderie anglaise and lace. There should be nothing too short or too tight and stiletto-esque heels look misplaced. Over the past few years, Miller has navigated seamlessly around these guidelines, managing to look appropriately smart and also modern.

For yesterday's men's final, she wore a Ralph Lauren dress, steering away from the obvious Wimbledon white, instead choosing 2017's summer dress shade of choice - a sunny yellow. The look featured cut-out panelling, which showcased a slither of midriff. To counter this, the hemline was kept midi-length. She accessorised with a pair of red tassle earrings by Kate Spade, clinical white block heel court shoes and a classic Panthere de Cartier gold watch. Her hair was kept loose and wavy and make-up was left minimal. She looked fresh, chic and very English rose without appearing stuffy or try-hard. The actress then joined Uma Thurman and Tori Cook in the viewing stands.

Miller's former Wimbledon style choices also hit the sartorial nail on the head. Last year, she wore a mix of Burberry and Ralph Lauren dresses, switching it up one day with a pair of high-waisted, wide led legs jeans and silk blouse. In 2015, she impressed in a white Galvan jumpsuit and oversized tortoise shell sunglasses.
