Some happy news for Friday. Listening to new music is actually good for your brain.

Using MRI scans, a team of scientists in Toronto found that areas in the reward centre of the brain became active when people heard a song for the first time.

It just so happens that launching and supporting new music is what we do best at ELLE.

So now that it’s healthy too, we thought it would be the perfect chance to recap some of the hot new names we’ve championed recently
