Rosie Huntington-Whiteley On The One Outfit She Always Packs When Travelling

'You can't go wrong'

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley travels the world in her roles as model, actress and designer - and manages to consistently look impeccably stylish as she does so. But her secret to being well-dressed at all times is remarkably simple - and something we can all take note of; she relies on just three items of clothing.

"It depends on the season and where I'm travelling to, but I think you can never go wrong with a pair of skinny jeans, a blazer, and a great pair of heels," she told us at the launch of her new clothing collection for Paige. "You can dress this look up or down by pairing it with a silk blouse or a simple white T-shirt. Accessorising can help mix up a look as well when you are travelling."

We'd never noticed it until now, but it's a sartorial formula that she relies on time and time again.

Come autumn/winter, she might swap the blazer for a leather jacket or the heels for boots, but the formula remains the same.

Paige Adams-Gellar, founder of denim brand Paige, agrees with the model's preference for simple pieces that can be thrown together.

"The perfect capsule wardrobe for travelling is all about being able to mix and match pieces that can take you from day to night," she told us. "Build your wardrobe by mixing basics with statement pieces."

For someone with such a penchant for jeans, a partnership with a denim brand seems particularly fitting. Rosie has just unveiled her second collaboration with Paige, a more "glamorous" offering than her first.

"This latest collection really embodies the spirit of the night," she told us. "I was very much inspired by my love for vintage clothing."

"It's got a more "rock and roll edge," adds Paige, which is seen through a series of high-shine sequins, leather and velvet - plus, of course, jeans, this time given a metallic twist. The 20-piece range was inspired by the London and LA music scenes; the sort of clothes that wouldn't look out of place at an underground gig, but would work equally well at a Mayfair cocktail bar.

"I think it's important to work with brands that you have a natural, organic relationship with and that you believe in," explained Rosie. "I have always been a Paige fan and was wearing the brand before I even started working with them. It's a great partnership when you've been a long time admirer of a brand."

The results speak for themselves; Rosie's formula is a winning one.
