Dressing a bump isn’t easy. Any woman who’s been there will tell you it raises a whole new set of sartorial dilemmas.

Our own Stacey Duguid has devoted herself to navigating these in her high street maternity blog, and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld is now dedicating herself to the cause with the launch of a new website, Romy and the Bunnies.

Some celebrities manage to make maternity dressing look like a stylish walk in the park, and Restoin-Roitfeld was one of them. Perma-glowing in heels, body-con dresses and empire cuts, she was a lesson in pregnant perfection. The tips and tricks she learned during her pregnancy with baby Romy - and those following the baby’s birth last May - form the basis of the new website, launched today.

‘During my pregnancy, I became obsessed and fascinated with anything related to maternity,’ explains Roitfeld, ‘and then after my baby was born, I became obsessed with anything to do with babies.’

So the website – still in its early infancy – will be populated with interviews with stylish mothers, weekly illustrations of Romy wearing an array of designer baby clothes, must-haves for the nursery and plenty of images of Restoin-Roitfeld herself looking like the paragon of motherly devotion.

‘I had so much fun enjoying my pregnancy, and now loving so much being a mother, that I wanted to share my experience, and future additional discoveries with other mothers and expecting mothers...always with a fashion edge!’
