The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge conclude the first day of their royal trip to Sweden and Norway with a formal dinner in Stockholm. Ahead of the black-tie event, the couple posed with Crown Princess Victoria, heir to the throne, and her husband, Prince Daniel.

While the rest of the group stuck to all-black attire, Middleton stood out in a silk, gold dress by Erdem. The duchess had kept her style simple for the beginning of her visit, with a casual, winter-friendly outfit for a hockey game this morning, a plain green turtleneck dress for a lunch with the Swedish royals, and a fur-lined green coat for a stroll with the prince and princess.

But it looks like the British royal saved the best for last. Middleton's shiny number featured a colorful floral print, a frilled high collar, and ruffles at the sleeves and hem. The look was just bold enough while still adhering to her classic, royal wardrobe.

Princess Victoria also took a fashion risk, with silhouette instead of color, in an asymmetrical little black dress, which she paired with statement earrings, a cuff bracelet, tights, and embellished T-strap pumps. Though she skipped wearing prints at tonight's event, she did sport rosy florals earlier today during the luncheon.

Before stepping out with their fellow royals, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had a chat with Sweden's Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and his wife Ulla Löfven at the Residence of the British Ambassador, according to Kensington Palace.
