Helena Bonham Carter took home the big prize at last night’s London Critics’ Circle Awards, picking up the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence In Film.

Wearing a black dress revealing a lace corset, the actress attended with partner Tim Burton, whom she thanked on stage as the 'father of my b**tards'.

The ceremony at London’s May Fair Hotel also paid tribute to Les Miserables star Anne Hathaway, who won an award for Supporting Actress Of The Year, beating The Master’s Amy Adams to the prize.

Meanwhile Andrea Riseborough won the coveted British Actress of Year.

Meanwhile The Impossible star Tom Holland won Young British Performer Of The Year and paid tribute to his co-star, Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, who plays his mother in the heart-tugging tsunami drama.

Marion Cotillard picked up a deserved award for Foreign Language Film for Rust and Bone while the big awards of the night went to Amour, for Film, Actress and Screenwriter of the Year.

The unofficial award for best style goes to British Actress nominee Emily Blunt, who wore a floor length futuristic Alexander McQueen peplum dress, teamed with a Swarovski clutch and Orfira jewellery.
