Kate Middleton on trend in tartan

Wears Alexander McQueen on official visit

Kate Middleton wore a beautiful Alexander McQueen Black Watch tartan dress coat while on a visit on her old school, St Andrew's, in Pangbourne, Berkshire today.

The Duchess of Cambridge teamed the coat with her old faithful black knee-high ‘Rhumba’ boots by Aquatalia by Marvin K and the sweeping fringe she debuted this week.

The coat is a fashion-savvy choice for the Duchess: tartan is big trend for this season, having had quite a presence on the autumn/winter 2012 catwalks at Chloe, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren, as well as Alexander McQueen.
