Lady Gaga has always been a trendsetter, but she's been so quick off the mark in wearing from Hedi Slimane's first collection for the house, she must have practically been waiting back stage after the show to get her hands on them.

The pieces were only seen for the first time last week, but already Gaga has been spotted in two of the catwalk outfits: firstly a voluminous dress that she wore at Harrods for the launch of her fragrance, and later for dinner with the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorean Embassy, where's he's hiding to escape extradition to Sweden.

And then the next day, in Iceland, to collect an award at the Yoko Ono Grant for Peace event, she wore a champagne-coloured flowing dress, also from the Hedi Slimane show.

Both outfits were topped with a black hat similar to one from the runway looks though, according to Saint Laurent, it was not the hat from the collection. The section of flowing chiffon gowns shown hark back to the original Yves Saint Laurent’s heyday, and provided a colourful finale to the collection. We could have predicted it wouldn't be long before they appeared on a red carpet or two. But even we didn't expect it to be this quick.
