The nominations list for the annual Mercury Music prize have been announced - with ELLE favourite, Lianne La Havas in the running for the award.
The Mercury is one of the most respected awards in the music industry, selecting the best British album releases of the last year with the winner announced in November.
Ecstatic about the nomination for her debut album 'Is Your Love Big Enough' (released in July), Lianne tweeted 'So happy about the #mercuryprize2012 I could eat my guitar.' While we applaud her take on the 'eat my hat' classic, we do hope her guitar remains intact so that she can continue to make blissful music.
Lianne faces stiff opposition from Plan B, Django Django, Richard Hawley, Michael Kiwanuka, Field Music, Ben Howard, Sam Lee, The Maccabees, Roller Trio and Jesse Ware. Previous Mercury winners include The XX, PJ Harvey and Speech Debelle.
