In a development that Gossip Girl herself might not have predicted, Hollywood starlet Blake Lively has reportedly tied the knot this weekend with her actor boyfriend Ryan Reynolds.
The pair have been dating for just under one year and American publication People has reported that they wed in a ceremony in South Carolina yesterday (9 September) complete with cake, marquee, a live performance from Florence Welch and, apparently, Bette Midler in attendance.
Blake, 25, and 35 year old Ryan (who has fronted a campaign for M&S) worked together on 2011 comic-book movie The Green Lantern have been quite low key about their relationship so it may not be inconceivable that they would have wanted to keep their marriage low key as well. Although we cant help but wonder if Florence would have made it from her Bestival performance at the Isle of Wight to South Carolina in time.
Ryan was previously married to Scarlett Johannson until they divorced in 2010 after two years of marriage.
