After watching the majority of the inspiring Paralympic Games in jeans and a team GB polo, Kate Middleton duly smartened up to present a gold medal on Saturday afternoon.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a navy double breasted blazer with jaunty brass buttons to present 21-year-old Welshman Aled Davies with his gold medal for the discus. She teamed the blazer with a pencil skirt and LK Bennett wedges. Her hair was worn loose and in tumbling curls around her shoulders, and she accessorised with a scarf in patriotic tones of red, white and blue at her neck.
