Spotlight Sound: Lucy Rose

Lucy Rose packs a punch with her new music video.

The release of her debut album may still be a month away, but the chances of you already hearing the delicate vocals of Lucy Rose stand quite high. Having released her own material since the end of last summer, Lucy has also leant vocals to Gold selling albums by Bombay Bicycle Club and toured with Noah and The Whale, making her a regular performer on the indie folk music circuit.

Whilst the singer/songwriter’s musical temperament may be of the more docile variety, Lucy’s new music video demonstrates a hidden tough edge as she get’s into a scrap in a bar. Perhaps inspired by the recent reunion of The Spice Girls at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony, perhaps the musician wants to bring the message of girl power to a new generation by showing she can take on the boys?
