Here at ELLE, we do love a bit of dirty, addictive rock'n'roll – which is why we can't stop listening to California's hottest new band, Deap Vally.
And why they have soundtracked our exclusive behind-the-scenes cover shoot with the beautiful Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

With their debut single Gonna Make My Own Money released this week, the pair from the San Fernando Valleys are here to inject some good
ol' fashioned rock into our lives with their Led Zeppelin meets The White Stripes infused sound. Laura Marling this is not.

The woman with the howling vocals Lindsey Troy and drummer Julie Edwards are already making their presence felt with storming sets at Latitude festival and the Old Blue Last in London. Expect liqueur to be thrown and instruments to be battered. And that's just from the feisty duo.

With a record in the offing for early next year, let's hope Deap Vally return to our shores for
a headline tour soon. Word of warning: these girls know how to party – so if you can't beat them, we're going to join them.

Sounds like: Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin

Releasing when? Debut single Gonna Make My Own Money is out next Monday (30 July) and the debut album is due out early next year
