It's hard to keep a secret, especially in Hollywood, but Kerry Washington deserves double congratulations: on the birth of her first baby, a girl, and the fact that she has reportedly managed to keep it quiet for two weeks while she adjusts to motherhood.
According to TMZ, baby Isabelle Amarachi Asomugha was born on 21 April at celebrity go-to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
She's the first child for Scandal star Washington and her former NFL star husband Nnamdi Asomugha, whom she married quietly last year.
The baby's middle name, Amarachi, means 'God's grace' in the language of the Igbo people of Nigeria from whom Nnamdi is descended.
