The highest-paid actress of them all? K-Stew

Proving that Twilight pandemonium does have its bright sides, Kristen Stewart has captured the top spot in Forbes’s annual ranking of Hollywood’s highest-paid actresses.

The ELLE cover star is estimated to have earned $34.5 million between May 2011 and May 2012, largely derived from her work as Bella Swan in the Twilight films.

According to Forbes, Stewart received an estimated $12.5m for each of the last two films and negotiated a share of the profits. She also received handsome paychecks for her work on Snow White and the Huntsman.

Stewart is the youngest actress on the top-10 list by 16 years. Her income places her above Cameron Diaz ($34m), Sandra Bullock ($25m), Angelina Jolie ($20m), SWATH co-star Charlize Theron ($18m), Julia Roberts, Sarah Jessica Parker, Meryl Streep, Kristen Wiig and Jennifer Aniston.

Forbes compiled the list based on factors including upfront pay, profit participation, residuals, endorsements and advertising contracts.
