Charlotte Casiraghi rode out into the Mediterranean sun to compete in the prestigious Global Champions Tour in Cannes yesterday.

The 25-year-old Monegasque royal is the latest face of Gucci’s Forever Now campaign and has been dressed exclusively by the brand for her equestrian events for the last two years – which makes sense, given the brand’s signature horsebit hardware and the love of horses that Casiraghi shares with Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.

Casiraghi is not the only royal professional horsewoman: WWD reported this week that Zara Phillips, the Queen’s granddaughter, has qualified for the London 2012 Olympics. Sounds like, come July, the equestrian park in Greenwich will be the place for royal-spotting.
