When we heard that Lindsay Lohan had been cast as Taylor in a new made-for-TV biopic, we werent sure what to think. Sure, the actresses share a certain level of tabloid notoriety and both posed for Playboy, but thats where the similarities end.
Enter brown hair dye, boatloads of faux diamonds and one very low-cut dressand there she is, a ringer for Taylor. On set, there was an audible gasp the first time Lohan appeared as Taylor, costume designer Salvador Perez told People. Youd swear it was Elizabeth.
She just walked into the clothes and became Elizabeth Taylor.
The film, which tracks Taylors legendary love affair with Richard Burton, will see Lohan change into 66 different looks, from kaftans to leopard-print swimsuits. Will you watch?
