The stars of the small screen were gathered in London for the annual BAFTA Television Awards to celebrate the best of drama, comedy, acting and documentary-making plus a whole lot of other categories as well.
Winners of the night included Emily Watson and Dominic West for their portrayal of Janet Leach and Fred West in ITV's gritty drama, Appropriate Adult, Jennifer Saunders collected a gong for best female performance in a comedy programme thanks to the return of Eddie Monsoon in Absolutely Fabulous, and in the fierce battle of best soap Coronation Street won over Eastenders.
