The Association, which in October inducted Victoria Beckham and Lady Gaga into its Headwear Hall of Fame, lauded Kate’s ‘impeccable’ style.

The Duchess secured a landslide victory in an online poll to select a winner. She took 91% of the vote against Rachel Zoe (who received 4% of the nods from an undisclosed number of voters), Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Charlie Sheen.

Kate is the first woman to win the accolade since its establishment three years ago. She follows in the hatsteps of Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt—both of whom would look fetching in the maple-leaf creation, it has to be said.

Somehow, Princess Beatrice didn’t even make it onto the shortlist. Better luck next year, B.
