Fingerless gloves: Madonna's new favourite thing?

Doesn’t it feel like has premiered about a dozen times? Madonna’s Wallis Simpson film debuted at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2011, but the film made its official London premiere last night.

The director and her stars were on hand once again to introduce the film to its public. Madonna wore a Jean Paul Gaultier dress and topped it with a black lace cape by Dolce & Gabbana. To this high-drama equation she added red leather fingerless gloves. The better to match the carpet and the lipstick with, we guess?

The superstar seems to have picked up a penchant for fingerless gloves a la Karl Lagerfeld of late, showcasing two pairs in one day of film promotion. Earlier yesterday, she wore a black leather pair bearing Chanel’s interlocked Cs with a tailored navy and black day dress and black fishnets.

But back to the premiere. We think Madonna dressed like she’s heading to Carine Roitfeld’s vampire party, albeit three months late. What do you make of Madge’s red-carpet ensemble?
