This month, ELLE teamed up with Peugeot to give away tickets to Latitude Festival, at which Lykke Li – ambassador for the new Peugeot 108 – is headlining.

We took the opportunity to grab five minutes with the multi-talented Swedish singer-songwriter to discuss driving, Roxette and learning to make raw food desserts with Bob Marley…

What attracted you to your collaboration with Peugeot for the launch of the new 108?

Driving for me means power and freedom. The feeling that I can go anywhere I want at anytime is exhilarating. I also think cars are very cinematic and romantic and the best place to listen to music in. In addition Fleur and Manu are interesting directors, pushing the bounds of what is considered 'contemporary'.

What is your best festival memory?

I've never really been to festivals except for when I'm playing. But my favourite experience is a show at midnight with the moon blazing and a crowd full of open hearts ready to dance.

The soundtrack to your life: Which song or album would you choose, and why?

Roxette: It must have been love.

I remember having this song on a cassette tape. I would bring the cassette player on the roof top where there was nothing around me but mountains. I could smell the sea as well as feel the heartache running through my veins as the lyrics unravelled.

It made perfect sense to me; it must have been love, but it's over now. How and why I knew that at such a young age I do not know.

Which other musician (living or dead) would you like to spend a day with? What activity would you do and what would you ask them?

Musician: Bob Marley.

Question: What is love?

Activity: Learning to bake raw food desserts.

Your latest album deals with heartbreak. What's the most important love lesson you've learnt?

It was time for me to grow up and forgive myself and accept myself in all my flaws. This album sets me free.

What is your most treasured possession?

My freedom.
