This week the iconic Miss Piggy visited the ELLE Fashion Cupboard. We took the opportunity to quiz her on fashion, feminism and being fabulous.
Q: Would you say you are a feminist and what does feminism mean to you?
A: I am a Diva, which is exactly like being a feminist, only with less marching and carrying signs. What does feminism mean to moi: that women are equal to men except when were better than they are.
Q: Who are your favourite designers?
A: I have so many friends who are designers, I dont want to leave any of them out. But I will mention my current fave fellow fashion legend and designer Vivienne Westwood, who created the wedding gown I wear in Muppets Most Wanted as well as several other outfits. She outdid herself. Of course, designing for moi, she had a lot to work with. Still, Bravo! Vivienne!
Q: Where do you get your style inspiration from?
A: From the golden age of Hollywood - Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn .really, anybody named Hepburn.
Q: You admitted to Botox a while back how important is it for a pig like yourself to stay looking youthful?
A: Let moi put it this way: Ive got no original parts. And boy do I look great, non!
Q: Do you have any regular spa treatments?
A: Yes, in fact Im having one right now. Do you mind moving over, youre blocking my sun.
Q: What music do you like to listen to?
A: I adore Celine Dion. After working with her on Muppets Most Wanted, I know she has a great future ahead of her. Just between us: Shes too good to only be my back-up singer.
