To ensure that she looked the part Anne Hathaway employed stylist Rachel Zoe to help make the all important sartorial choices for her Oscars gig, and that's not all. Sh esported a vintage Valentino Haute Couture gown as she arrived at last night's ceremony, and she bought along the ultimate insuarance against any dress disaster - the designer himself.

As she stepped out in the show-stopping scarlet dress she was joined by the now retired Valentino Garavani, who told the Daily Mail, 'I have a needle and thread in my pocket just in case.' Now that's service...
