The ELLE team is slightly obsessed with Courtney Love's personal style blog, whatcourtneyworetoday.com, if only because her looks are so unpredictable. This morning the blog offers up even more of a gem than her usual pics - an animated film commissioned by the Hole front woman.
Made by Michael Mouris, the tongue in cheek cartoon, entitled 'The Dark Night of the Soul', charts the evolution of Courtney Love's style. It stars Courtney, a magic Hermes Birkin bag, Andre Leon Talley and an animated Karl Lagerfeld who utters pearls of wisdom along the lines of, 'You're drowning in the kook. It is gorgeous but your lungs are filling up with chiffon and lace and all of that glitter bead nonsense.'
Mouris told WWD, 'The only notes she gave me were to take the fan out of Karl Lagerfeld's hand and to give Andre Leon Talley a cape. Other than that, I think I had free reign.' The result may be crazy but we love it.
