The annual Best Dressed list compiled by American magazine Vanity Fair is always much discussed. In the 71 years that it has been compiled it has championed some of the most iconic style setters around - Audrey Hepburn, Diana Vreeland, Jackie Kennedy and Wallis Simpson have been inducted into its fashion hall of fame. This year's list has just been released and, amongst the socialites, designers and Hollywood stars, some of our favourite Brits have been named best dressed.
Rising fashion star Carey Mulligan makes her first appearance on the line-up, thanks to her love of the likes of Lanvin and Miu Miu. And another British actress made the cut too - Helena Bonham Carter. While her sartorial choices may be hotly debated this side of the Atlantic it seems that stateside her eccentric style is a big hit.
And David Beckham has been named one of the world's most stylish men - but we note that Victoria's name has been omitted. We have to disagree with this one - we'd choose VB's style over her husband's any day.More
