Victoria Beckham to work for Range Rover

The pairing may seem unlikely but last night the brand unveiled VB as its new creative design director. Translation: she has been signed up to encourage fashion fans that a Range Ranger is the most stylish car choice. The brand's creative director, Gerry McGovern, told WWD,' Victoria understands luxury products. She is a Range Rover fan and has been a Range Rover owner for many years.'

The partnership was revealed at Range Rover's 40th birthday party last night. Victoria, sporting a nude look from her A/W 2010 collection, mingled with a whole host of fashion favourites - Julien MacDonald, Matthew Williamson and Roland Mouret were all on hand to celebrate her new role.

She hasn't been roped in to simply be the face either - Victoria will apparently be designing the interior of the brand new Range Rover Evoque. Judging by the popularity of her fashion line, we expect that it will soon become the essential vehicle for everyone from Elle Macpherson to Eva Longoria.
