SATC 2 arrives in London

It was history repeating itself for Sarah Jessica Parker's red carpet look. Like the first film's premiere in 2008, SJP again chose to wear an Alexander McQueen gown saying "there's only one person I could have worn tonight and that was Alexander McQueen. Lee, this is for you. I miss you very much." She completed the look with another Philip Treacy creation for a top-to-toe salute to British fashion.

Kim Catrall chose vintage Theirry Mugler, Cynthia Nixon wore Narciso Rodriquez and Kristen Davis, a Norman Norell metallic gown.

The event was very much a girls night out and a host of female celebrities made an appearance. Kylie Minoque wore Gucci, Daisy Lowe looked stunning in floorlength emerald and Peaches Geldof chose Matthew Williamson.

The after-party was held at Kensington Palace and we were treated to another outfit change from the foursome. Kristin Davis wore vintage Dior, Cynthia Nixon chose ELLE favourite
