It's hard to belive that the 1960s icon who still inspires everyone from designers to stylists and models (see Georgia May Jagger in the latest Hudson jeans ad) turns 75 this year.
To mark the milestone an exhibition opens tonight at London's James Hyman Gallery showcasing vintage photpgraphs from the world's first paparazzi photographers, captured during the 1960s when the term was first coined in Italy, to describe the swarms of photographers following stars such as Bardot.
It also showcases some never before seen images of the actress, like this exclusive photograph, of Bardot on the set of 'Le Mepris' - the 1963 film that established Bardot as a screen siren.
It's also the film that inspired Jean Paul Gaultier's last couture collection - he even named one look 'Le Mepris' after the film.
The exhibition runs until 3rd October 2009. Click her to visit jameshymangallery.comMore
