The line, a collaboration between the model-muse and LA surf and skate label RVCA debuted in England last night at the Selfridges' London store. Fans queued to get their hands on Erin's new collection (this was the first time it was being sold in store in the UK) and meet the style setter, who took the time to sign autographs and give style tips.
Dressed in one of her own designs - a poppy floral print dress that she had sheared the hem of - to make it even shorter, Erin told ELLE, 'I hope this is the start of something much bigger.'
'I'd like to expand in to accessories and jewellery too,' says the girl who has already designed jewellery with her friend and long time collaborator Alexander Wang.
Wasson's bi-costal lifestyle (' I call LA and New York home') has infused her collection of laid back yet edgy separates. Her slouchy boyfriend blazer has a silk back printed with lightning strikes and is finished with a punky zip that runs from top to bottom (it completely sold out in about 20 minutes last night), while t-shirts are super soft and purposefully distressed to achieved that worn -a-hundred- times-already look for you. While micro mini denim shorts and a wool mini skirt, studded with brass hardware were also a sell out pieces last night.
So what's Erin's go to look when she wants to feel comfortable and look great? 'This is it!' She declared, waving at her small yet perfectly formed collection. 'I'm a denim cut-off and vest person!'
It's a winning look that has secured her place as a modern style icon, designer's muse and now got her a label of her own.
