The odds on Kate Winslet finally winning her first Oscar for her role in The Reader grew even stronger last night as she was awarded the Screen Actor's Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress.
It's just under a month until Oscar night and as this is the second time she has collected the best supporting actress award for her part as an ex-Nazi prison camp guard, our leading lady looks like a front runner for the Oscar. She also won the Golden Globe for this role earlier this month.
Last night Kate broke with her red carpet style of late and chose one of spring's bright hues for the first time this season. While reports on WWD today confirm that for the Oscars she has chosen a Ben de Lisi dress that the British designer has created especially for her.
