She scooped both of these awards on Sunday night at the Golden Globes in Hollywood, and is a favourite to win the double again at the BAFTAS in London on 8th February, plus there's talk that she could finally also win an Oscar. The 33-year actress has been nominated five times, but has never scooped acting's biggest prize.
British film sensation Slumdog Millionaire led the other BAFTA nominations. It was nominated for best film, best adapted screenplay, as well as best director for Danny Boyle, best actor for 18-year-old Dev and rising fashion star Freida Pinto received a nomination for her role as best supporting actress in the film.
