Now the images are here. Cue Madonna resplendent in a French cafe, channeling the vibe of Marc Jacobs' vision for next season - bohemian Parisian chic.
The new ads were shot by Steven Meisel and signal a new direction for Louis Vuitton after six years of working with fashion photographers Mert and Marcus.
'Its a big change from what we were doing. It tells a story,' Antoine Arnault, Louis Vuittons director of communications, told WWD today. 'This, I think, is an amazing coup, but more than that, theres real logic behind it. Its very linked to Marcs fashion show.'
More than that the sultry images also herald the beginning of a new incarnation for fashion chameleon Madonna, who is already sporting the glossy, loose curls and red lips she had in these ads everywhere.
