Carla continues her U.K. style offensive

A very demure (erring on the prim side) full length navy Dior gown with modest sheer cape attached and once again flat shoes with a peep toe that appeared to be - shock horror - black not navy!

With this outfit it's clear, Carla has completely eshewed her supermodel image and Queen-Anne-ed herself for this official visit to the U.K.

Just last month, when Israeli President Shimon Peres visited Paris on his official visit to France, Carla greeted him in a bright fuchsia, one shoulder, goddess gown by John Paul Gaultier (pictured here) and she wore heels.

Although we're honoured the handsome pair have paid London a state visit, and that France's first lady has clearly given appropriate British attire a lot of thought, we're looking forward to Carla getting back to home turf and back to her more sultry, sartorial european style.

Who says fashion can't be political?
