For Kate, style icons are women who remain true to a signature style, like Anita Pallenberg, Bianca Jagger - and of course her mum Goldie Hawn." I like people to have personal style" she tells us.
So what is the effortlessly stylish actress' signature look? "I'm not into the trampy look" and by trampy she means overtly sexy or slutty. "I like to mis-match. I like a look that is not too thought out!" Which is why Kate's often held up as the poster girl for L.A.'s boho - chic, just off the beach look. And of course her beach ready body helps her pull off that look perfectly. " I plan to wear as little as possible for as long as I can" she reveals, without sounding too proud of her petite frame. "I know I won't have this body forever, she says. and I would like to have another child some day" she reveals.
So just how does she stay in such great shape? "I've always been a dancer. I took ballet from the age of three to 13, then got into jazz dance. Now I have a dance instructor several times a week and I do Pilates." But, there are no five hours spent in the gym for Kate.
"If there's one thing I've learnt this year, it's not to think too much about my image", she tells us. "I don't dress for anyone but me and the people I love" she says. So what will she be wearing this spring? "Right now I'm in love with colour! Particularly purple. I just bought a purple Dolce sweater. The other colour I love for spring is cobalt blue. And that peachy skin-tone colour." For someone who isn't interested in following fashion she sounds pretty on trend to us!
