Victoria Beckham for Marc Jacobs: The ads have arrived!

Last month we revealled that Marc Jacobs had recruited Posh to star in his spring summer 08 campiagn and that together with fashion photographer Juergen Teller the trio had created some ironic, soon to be iconic, images or Victoria emerging from Marc's gift boxes and carrier bags.

Both VB and Marc acknowledged it was an 'interesting' pairing to say the least, but Marc assured us he was being ironic. He told WWD recently, "There was a lot of discussion about Victoria being in our ads and tons of blogs on the Internet about 'Should she or shouldn't she?,' 'What's going on with Marc Jacobs?,' and 'Has he lost his mind?' We thought the funniest thing would be to show ads that don't show Victoria Beckham, but just to see those legs coming out of the bag." And we agree - this image is quite simply genius.

However, there are other pics in the campaign portfolio which do feature the Spice girl's, face. Her head popping out of a Marc bag and the figure we're most used to, a slim line Posh emerging from a shoe box, resplendent in a spring summer 08 catwalk look.

Those are the images we're sure she will be most proud of - though she may blush at those fake tan tide marks... didn't anyone else notice them? Or was it all part of the irony?
