Fed up of recieving Christmas presents you just will never use? Don't know what to buy the girl who has everything? Or what to give your dad who only ever asks for socks? Then log on to oxfamunwrapped.com.
Today, Oxfam launches its famous unwrapped campaign for decent Christmas presents. The idea is, instead of sending or recieving rubbish, unwanted gifts (think cheap bubble bath and make up sets), you can buy, or ask for an Oxfam gift that will be bought in your honour and donated to a worthy cause somewhere in the world. So, for example, instead of a stocking full of satsumas, get your nana to buy you a present that will seriously change someone's life this Christmas. Prices start at just £5 and there's everything from fertilizer and sanitary equipment to school books and medicine that will be sent to someone who needs it, on behalf of you. This year to highlight the campaign fashion shutterbug Rankin has shot various friends of Oxfam including Dame Helen Mirren (above), Helena Bonham Carter and Zoe Ball in these quirky shots, all in the name of decent presents. There will also be a TV ad campaign which premiers on Channel 4 on Wednesday at 9.10 pm - and promises to be hillarious. So no excuses, if you don't know what to buy your friends this year.
