All of Melania Trump's Inauguration Weekend Outfits

Donald Trump and Melania were greeted by Michelle and Barack Obama at The White House, and all were dressed very patriotically. Michelle went with a red, tea-length dress, while Melania wore a cropped coat and sheath in powder blue by Ralph Lauren. The outgoing and incoming POTUSes gave a nod to the flag with their blue and white ties.

First Ladies tend to dress in American designers, especially at the Inauguration. Lauren specifically has outfitted Michelle Obama, Nancy Reagen, and Betty Ford. He was also a favorite of Hillary Clinton's, who wore Ralph Lauren pantsuits to all three debates against her opponent, Trump, and her concession speech.

Melania chose Reem Acra for the formal dinner celebrating the inauguration on Thursday. The gown was a form-fitting crew-neck number with long sleeves and intricate beading in a champagne color. Reem Acra, a designer originally from Beirut who has also lived in Paris and Hong Kong, is not among the designers who spoke out either for or against dressing the incoming first lady.

Then-President-elect Trump and first-lady-to-be Melania made an appearance at Arlington Cemetery on the day before the inauguration for a wreath-laying ceremony. For the event, Melania chose a black coat from Norisol Ferrari, a small NYC-based label.

Ferrari told Women's Wear Daily that she's not one of the designers who simply refuses to dress Melania. "I am absolutely opposed to discrimination in any way. I wanted to give her her own voice," the designer said. "Empowering women is all that matters to me. I do not discriminate whether for race, religion, color of skin, sexuality, political affiliation — what have you. No, I do not believe in it in any form."

Melania Trump's dress is a collaboration between herself and Hervé Pierre, the former creative director of the American house of Carolina Herrera who left his 14-year post last February.
