It was the job that every British designer wanted but Deacon got; designing the exquisite lace gown that Pippa Middleton wore to wed James Matthews on May 20 2017.
'I wanted that 'how-was-that-done?' factor,' Deacon told Business of Fashion of the seamless appearance. 'It's all hand-pieced which is why you don't actually see a seam.'
Hand-embroidered pearls studded the bodice of the full-skirted gown with tulle-filled train, which was worn with a Stephen Jones veil.
It was the first high-refile wedding dress Deacon had designed since shuttering this ready-to-wear business in 2016 to concentrate on couture.

The dramatic accordion pleated circle dress 'gave the illusion of a fan — the theme was '[China:] Through the Looking Glass,' and I wanted to be as respectful as possible to the theme,' said Solange.
