This years Ivor Novello awards in London might have been about the music but for ELLE, they were also a little bit about the fashion.
How could they not be, with ELLE cover girl and triple Ivor Novello award winner Lily Cooper, née Allen, making a rare appearance since giving birth to her second daughter, Marnie Rose, in January? She worked next seasons volume trend in a billowing brown cape-dress (vintage, of course).
We've long been a champion of female music acts so it was good to see our favourites Lianne La Havas, Katy B and A*M*E out in full force. Lianne chose a glamorous floor-length silver dress with revealing side panels, while Kate B opted for a floral figure-hugging minidress and A*M*E worked a trouser suit.
So, who won what? ELLE favourite Emeli Sandé, who won Best Music Award at the ELLE Style Awards earlier this year, was the biggest victor. Although she was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to commitments in LA, she scooped the coveted Best Song Musically and Lyrically and the PRS for Music Most Performed Work awards for her hit single Next To Me.
Elsewhere, Alt-J received the Album Award for An Awesome Wave, Calvin Harris was named Songwriter of the Year, the Outstanding Song Collection award went to Noel Gallagher and Gavin Rossdale - ELLE cover star Gwen Stefani's other half - received Inte More
