Beyonces Single Ladies has become a dance floor anthem in recent years (we know you know the routine by heart), and now Bey has altered the lyrics, transforming it into a call to action in support of gay marriage.
The US Supreme Court is this week debating whether to overturn the much publicised Proposition 8 ban on same-sex marriage in California. And to show her support for gay couples everywhere the singer posted a handwritten note on Facebook, saying If you like it you should be able to put a ring on it #wewilluniteformarriageequality. So far more than 117,000 of her fans have liked the post.
Its not the first cause that the singer has got behind this week on Tuesday she announced that she will be headlining The Sound of Change Live in London on 1 June, a concert organised by Chime For Change raising awareness of girls and womens issues around the world.
