The news earlier this year that Naomie Harris had become a Bond girl was music to fashion fans ears. As an actress shes always come across as particularly cool, therefore a strong contender to shake up the red-carpet formula a little bit.
Last night at the James Bond Skyfall premiere she did not disappoint, choosing to wear British designer Marios Schwab and the stunning gown from his spring summer 2012 collection. The dress consisted of an iridescent sequinned bodice under a floor-length sheer mesh overlay.
We asked the designer himself for his reaction to seeing his creations on the red carpet, and he said;
'I was delighted to hear while in LA that Naomie had chosen a Marios Schwab dress for the Royal Premiere after her earlier press call in New York wearing a piece from AW12.'
Marios is clearly a fan, as he went on; 'Naomie looks effortless in the sequinned evening gown, changing into a Marios Schwab lace cocktail dress for the after party, looking equally stunning. It is amazing to have Marios Schwab pieces worn to such an iconic Premiere in London.'
And we can exclusively reveal that you will be able to buy a similar gown at a fraction of the price when Schwabs new collection for Debenhams launches in store this week. The floor-length catwalk dress previewed at London Fashion Week and which retailed for £2550 over the summer could be yours for only £150 at the High Street chain.
The new collection of Marios Schwab for Debenhams marks the second collaboration between the King of the extraordinary dress and the high street giant. Naomi Harris wore Schwab once again at the after Premiere party later in the evening.
