Remember the campaign for David Beckhams first H&M bodywear collection? The footballers shirtless torso caused a sensation and elicited three complaints to the Advertising Standards Agency on the basis of offensive content.
H&M has released Beckham's second campaign, heralding the release of a new group of products in time for the holiday season. The new images are in much the same vein as the first campaignthere's Beckham, brooding and scantily clad in a series of black-and-white shots, with a black backdrop in place of the original grey.
'I wanted to express the strength and quality of the David Beckham Bodywear collection with these images, and also the wearability and fit,' Beckham said in a statement. 'I love the range, and feel so comfortable in each of the pieces. It has become second nature for me to wear it.'
Though the images are certainly engrossing, we found ourselves clicking back in time to coverage of the London 2012 Games Opening Ceremony, when our favourite ELLE cover man squired the Olympic torch toward the stadium on a neon-lit speedboat.
